Lesson Format

Dress Requirements

Students are expected to appear at class neatly dressed with well groomed hair. It is not essential to have a uniform or shoes on the commencement of classes. These can be purchased at a later date.

Examinations

These are conducted annually in syllabi taught at the studio and are an essential part of the school's curriculum. By taking an exam the pupil's progress may be followed and parents know that their child is gaining knowledge and not just attending week after week with no ultimate gain in view. Pupils from the school are entered for IDTA examinations who are members of:

• The British Dance Council
• Council for Dance Education and Training
• Central Council of Physical Recreation
• Theatre Dance Council 

Performances

Here at Julie Payne School Of Dance all our students are encouraged to participate and perform at various times of the year with a view to develop team building and performance skills. Our own school show takes place every 12-18 months, to showcase all the student's achievements!
